we want the load that we can bear
quiet seems much happier than loud
calm rain will never leave us cowed
the world when fresh is truly dear
our hearts and minds are happy here
thunder and lightning make us proud
we hate ourselves in cold and heat
the world is made of stress and strain
shadow protects us from harsh light
life is much more than this defeat
all of our hopes are clear and plain
our task requires that we be right
